Adam’s passion for running has stayed with him throughout a successful high school and collegiate running career, an NCAA coaching career, and as former owner of Central Coast Running in Santa Cruz, CA. A Bay Area native, Adam graduated from Pioneer HS in 1997. While at Pioneer, Boothe was a CCS Champion and two-time XC State Champs Qualifier. From there he went on to Cal Poly SLO, and was back-to-back Big West Conference Champion and NCAA DI National Qualifier. At Cal Poly, Adam ran for Mark Conover, 1988 Olympic Marathon Trials Champion. From 2003-2010, Adam was head coach of the Women’s Cross Country team at UC Santa Cruz. During his time at UCSC, Boothe coached 6 All Region runners, and 3 NCAA National Qualifiers. In 2009, Boothe co-founded Santa Cruz Endurance, a running and triathlon club in Northern California. In 2010, Adam went on to Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, where he is currently the assistant coach for cross country and track & field. In addition he has coached several runners to their Boston Marathon qualifiers.
